Our trip itinerary - in a nutshell

Decor inside Everest, a favourite restaurant in Seoul.
It seems we have completely overlooked telling you guys where we're actually going and when. We gave an idea but not accurate stuff. We're not entirely sure how it'll pan out either, but that's the awesome part of travelling, right?!

Since our departure is neigh, we should probably fill you guys in on our progress and what we're hoping to accomplish. Here it is as nutshelled as possible:

INDIA - February 18 to April 15
First off, our departure is February 18. We're flying into Chennai, India. A little bit South, near the cape on the East side to the Bay of Bengal. From there, we're going to wrap around the cape and head into Kerala state, where the backwaters are and have some fun in the hill stations too. Shooting up North from there, we're planning to layback in Goa for about a week. Scuba dive, party, and general "Goa" stuff... we're heading to Mumbai after.

From Mumbai, we're looking to take a plane into the desert of Rajastan. Head out into the desert on a camel ride and then work our way over to Delhi. Work down towards Varanasi and cross the border on foot into Nepal.

NEPAL - April 16 - May 29th (?)
From Kathmandu, it should bring us to April 16ish, where we're looking to do some volunteering. Keep an eye out for this! After 2 weeks of us paying to labour ourselves, we head onto our 19 day trek into Everest. The last 4 days of which, we'll be working with crampons and piolets to head up the 6,100 meter peak of Lobuche.

From here on out, the dates are tentative...

SOUTH AFRICA - May 30th - June 26th
After Nepal, we fly into Durban, South Africa. This is where we'll have to settle in a bit to finish up our future job prospects application. Afterwards, we're heading to Cape Town to kick around and climb Table Mountain.

ZIMBABWE(?)/BOTSWANA/NAMIBIA - June 27th - July 31st
By June 26, Ian's parents will meet us back in Durban and we'll head out to a tour of the southern countries in Africa.  We'll spend a month in our own convoy's going from Zimbabwe across to Namibia and back into South Africa again.

This brings us to August, where our plans rely on what we've heard back in June for our next place in the world.

Whew! Just writing that got us excited!! Everything is falling into place slowly! So there you have it guys! Good-byes are coming soon...
